The Final Fantasy 8 remaster is coming next week, and I wanted to do a comic based on one of my favorite lines. Why is it so good? It’s just so damn normal and relatable.

Maybe I am living in the past that despite all the new games, I still decided to replay Final Fantasy 6 recently. But what is so wrong with that? It’s fine for people to appreciate classic books and movies, so why not games?

Amazon Edition
I know Capcom and Street Fighter V aren’t the worst when it comes to DLC and micro-transactions, but I stay away from most games are that covered in it. No matter how much content I actually get when paying full price for a game, I don’t like every single menu to remind me of what else I can purchase for the game I payed full price for.

Variety Is Bland
I’ve had access to roms and emulators for every SNES and NES game for decades. Yet, not until I got the Mini consoles did I actually sit down and play through some of these games again. I am not sure why- maybe they felt more “real” like this, maybe I felt more confident that these saves would last, I don’t really know.
