Lost in the Mail
Hey, Borderlands 3 is coming out this week. I put hundreds of hours into part 2 and really enjoyed it. For some reason I’m not hyped about Borderlands 3 though. Oh, I know why- it’s because I don’t have time to explain why I don’t have time to play a new 100+ hour game like I did 7 years ago with part 2.

The FF7 remake promises multiple episodes that are all full games to really flesh out the world. After the cover the Honey Bee Inn for 10 episodes, where will they go?

Time Compression
The Final Fantasy 8 remaster is coming next week, and I wanted to do a comic based on one of my favorite lines. Why is it so good? It’s just so damn normal and relatable.

Maybe I am living in the past that despite all the new games, I still decided to replay Final Fantasy 6 recently. But what is so wrong with that? It’s fine for people to appreciate classic books and movies, so why not games?

I know Capcom and Street Fighter V aren’t the worst when it comes to DLC and micro-transactions, but I stay away from most games are that covered in it. No matter how much content I actually get when paying full price for a game, I don’t like every single menu to remind me of what else I can purchase for the game I payed full price for.

Variety Is Bland
I’ve had access to roms and emulators for every SNES and NES game for decades. Yet, not until I got the Mini consoles did I actually sit down and play through some of these games again. I am not sure why- maybe they felt more “real” like this, maybe I felt more confident that these saves would last, I don’t really know.

EA re-branded loot boxes. It worked like a charm, as in everyone thought that it was stupid and then went and bought more.

Pokemon Switch
Generally I’m not thrilled about the idea, the system was already portable! Smaller does not equal better.
And now not docking removes the switching of it’s namesake. Nothing makes sense!
